Claire Habbershaw


Claire is a highly experienced Song recitalist, giving recitals at esteemed venues including St James Piccadilly, Brentwood Cathedral, Holy Trinity Sloane Square, Poundarts, and Faversham Assembly Rooms.





One of her recent performance highlights was performing Jonathan Dove's Song cycle "Out of Winter" for Dove, at his 60th birthday celebrations at Blackheath Halls. Having just completed her MMUS with Distinction specializing in piano accompaniment, Claire is continuing in her second year of Master's studies at Guildhall School of Music and Drama, as a Guildhall Scholar. She is currently studying with Eugene Asti, Pamela Lidiard and she is being mentored by Alisdair Hogarth, She previously studied at Trinity Laban as Trinity London Scholar, where she won every duo Song prize available: The Elisabeth Schumann Lieder Prize, The Lillian Ash French Song Competition and The English Song Duo Prize. Her awards include the Founders Prize for Piano Accompaniment and the Raymond Russell Prize for Harpsichord.


At Guildhall, Claire has been involved in projects with Eugene Asti, Iain Burnside, Julius Drake and Samantha Malk. She has furthermore participated in masterclasses with Roderick Williams and Sally Burgees (both part of the London Song Festival), Kate Royal, Julia Bullock, Ido Ariel and Bryan Husbands
